In 11th grade, we had to go to the MDL garage. There, we found an arcade machine and said to ourselves, "Awesome, an arcade machine!" We brought it back to the workshop and checked for any apparent issues, then we plugged it in. The screen turned on, but nothing else worked.
During our inspection, we noticed that the arcade machine's power supply was dangerous since it had no protection. We replaced it with a PC power supply and rewired the connections to ensure everything was neat and safe. We also redid the button wiring using Zero Delay Arcade USB Encoders, which makes maintenance easier even for beginners. Finally, we installed Recalbox on the Raspberry Pi 4 to transform the machine into an arcade platform with multiple retro consoles.
This project was very interesting. I had to look for solutions to ensure proper functioning while maintaining simplicity so that it was accessible at all skill levels.
