From 2022 to 2024, I participated in managing the IT network of the "Maison des Lycéens" at Bernard Palissy High School in Saintes. The tasks ranged from updating games to managing cameras, sessions, and other services.

What did it consist of exactly?

Along with another volunteer, we took charge of server management. This included maintaining the video surveillance system, managing sessions via Active Directory, as well as setting up network permissions for different account levels using GPOs. We also performed troubleshooting to identify the causes of network or camera connection issues and resolved various other technical problems. Additionally, we completely recreated the network for easier management by novices in this field by creating virtual machines with Proxmox to host multiple services, including a Windows server, a website, and several databases, notably one used to manage available time in the computer lab.

We also maintained the time management software for the PCs in the computer lab and the cash register software to ensure their smooth operation daily.

As the IT department representative, I acted as the intermediary between the MDL's board of directors and the IT team members.

I also supervised the updates of games installed in the computer lab, a task carried out by other IT team volunteers.
