During my sophomore year, I volunteered at the MDL. I was really happy to contribute to the organization, so I wanted to go even further by becoming a member of the MDL's Board of Directors.
Being a board member was interesting because, before joining, each of us had to prepare a "profession of faith" to present ourselves to the members of the General Assembly. This assembly votes for the board members each year. For the elections, we not only had to write this personal statement, but we also had to present it orally in front of all the members of the General Assembly.
Once elected, we met regularly to discuss various points to be addressed during the sessions. This included discussing the budgets of each department at the beginning of the year, commitments such as the Festisol event, access management, and more.
Being part of the MDL's Board of Directors for two years was a very interesting and enriching experience.
